Radio Boa Nova makes its FM debut in Sorocaba, broadcasting the word that inspires and consoles

After the arrival of Rádio Boa Nova de Guarulhos and region on FM in 2024, on the 85.5 FM frequency, Sorocaba will also have the 77.9 FM signal on the extended band from this month. The debut in the city marks a moment of achievement, continuing the work of spreading Spiritism over the airwaves.

On the air uninterruptedly since the 1960s, Rádio Boa Nova Sorocaba was the first station run by Complexo André Luiz, an institution that, in its 76-year history, welcomes and cares for children with intellectual and physical disabilities and also spreads the word of good through Complexo André Luiz Radio and TV.

Messages of consolation and hope began to reach homes in 1963, with Rádio Clube de Sorocaba, and in 1964, with Rádio Difusora de Guarulhos. Over the years, this purpose gained strength and, in 1975, both radio stations merged under the name of Rádio Boa Nova, bringing educational and consoling content to millions of listeners, 24 hours a day, through a large team of communicators and scholars of Spiritism, committed to the mission they carry out.

With the arrival of the FM stations, the André Luiz Spiritist Foundation has already taken important steps in the migration process, with the payment of the project and the granting of the license. It is now in the process of acquiring transmitters and modern equipment, which will guarantee better signal quality for listeners.

Mission in the words of the medium Chico Xavier

The meeting between Chico Xavier, a medium from Minas Gerais, and the group of directors of Casas André Luiz and Rádio Boa Nova, on July 5, 1980, at Casa da Prece, in Uberaba/MG, went down in the history of Spiritist Communication.

How can you not be moved by the loving and inspiring words of the dear medium, who exemplified charity? What an honor to have received from Chico a message strengthening the mission of the André Luiz Spiritist Foundation, emphasizing that the teachings of the Doctrine should arrive “through the roofs”. At that moment, the group felt sure that they were on the right track:

“How many times have I been on the verge of discouragement, in the midst of an exasperation, a great struggle, a lack of understanding, a maladjustment, I listen to the program and say: ‘no, this is the path I should follow’. So I ask God to keep the work as it is, always magnified and with these stations growing more and more and with these children happier and happier, under the guidance of such generous friends and operators of Jesus Christ in this work of social redemption” (Chico Xavier).

Since that special meeting with the medium, years have passed, times have changed and technologies have advanced in the digital age. However, in the midst of so many transformations, Radio Boa Nova continues as a channel that, for many decades, has touched souls - transmitting words of hope, peace and spirituality, bringing inspiration and inner growth to all who tune into its frequency.
