Reception of paintings by the most renowned artists through a Brazilian medium

Spirit Sheet, which had the privilege of introducing the young medium to the public, will follow the filming.

On several occasions, Spirit Sheet has published reports on the young medium Luís Antônio Gasparetto, who psychopictographs paintings by some of the most famous artists who have already passed away. Luís Antônio is able to produce, simultaneously, two paintings by different artists, with his eyes closed—one with his left hand and the other with his right—upside down, in just a few minutes.

Our first report on Luís Antônio was published one year ago by our colleague Elsie Dubugras. Subsequently, Elsie took photographic material and several paintings to Europe, where they aroused great interest in England, Germany, and other countries.

Last week, Manchete magazine published an extensive feature on Luís Antônio, written by João Panido, with photographs by Vic Parisi, and psychopictographed works attributed to Manet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani, Van Gogh, Matisse, and Picasso. Toulouse-Lautrec, through Luís Antônio, produced a portrait of the photographer Vic Parisi, reproduced by us in facsimile from Manchete.

The interest generated by Luís Antônio’s psychopictography has been so significant that German television is expected to arrive in Brazil within the next few days to document the phenomenon. Folha Espírita will follow all stages of the filming, through our colleague Elsie Dubugras, and will report to our readers on the work carried out by the German television crew.
