FE - Boldrin, do you label yourself a Spiritist?

Boldrin - No, and I'll explain why. To be a true Spiritist is very difficult. I prefer to call myself a spiritualist. I believe in the Spirit. I believe in Kardec. I've read a lot of Spiritist works, so I really want to be a Spiritist. But in order to do that, you have to follow Christ's teachings in their entirety, and very few people do that. In the morning, I get up with a tremendous desire to be a Spiritist; half an hour later, I'm just a spiritualist. The next day, I get up with an even greater desire, and so the struggle continues...

FE - Do you believe that materialistic creatures really exist?

Boldrin - No, I don't think so. My father, for example, calls himself an atheist, but to me he's more spiritual than many religious people. He has shown impressive resignation in the face of life's many trials. Just the other day, I asked him if he would go through all the struggles he had to face in life again if he were allowed to go back. And he replied without hesitation that he would live it all again, because he loves life. When he sees a rebellious person, for example, he often says “let age hit them and they'll bend”. This way of being reveals that, deep down, he can't be materialistic.

FE - Have you always been a spiritualist?

Boldrin - I was a materialist until seven years ago. I was disgusted by everything, I couldn't accept the fact that there were poor people, cripples and social inequalities. But I'm convinced that, deep down, no one is materialistic. Suddenly, I saw some paranormal phenomena and started reading Kardec. Interestingly, I read Kardec and realized that I already knew everything I read. Today, I recommend reading and studying Spiritist works to anyone who is interested, above all, in finding an explanation for the events in the soap opera, because it's not possible to answer everything. You have to read and study a lot.
